ok... well, speaking of Goldmine and Big john Koenig....

if you have any of the mid-70s issues with john's column, you will
see some of my illustrations for his column and also for his zine at the
time, Cowabunga.... there was a great Sky Saxon cover for him that I 
did, for example...
i've since become very self conscious about my limited drawing 
abilities but i was
most proud of a comic strip page I did for the What Goes On! velvets 
zine that recreated
the Brian Epstein / Lou Reed meeting in a cab.... it got reprinted 
elsewhere, i think


  i find it's always fun to come across old mags or lps and suddenly 
realize some of the names are now familiar from recent acquaintance 
via lists and/or meeting up with people....
