Hey auditeers, I sent this announcement to some folks on this list but here it is for the general public. I humbly submit for you approval: Today sees the release of the new Stratocruiser CD single "Copyshop Girl". This is a VERY limited edition CD single featuring a new track taken from our forthcoming CD "Suburban Contemporary" which is in the final mixing stages at the moment. It includes 3 non-CD tracks including an acoustic rendering of Cheap Trick's classic, "Come On, Come On". The CD single also features a track called "Hearts Are Wrong" which could be a single in its own right and Stratocruiser's valiant attempt to bring the time-honored "big rock" drum solo to the idiom of indie-pop in "Billy Budd". Please go to our fully re-designed website http://www.stratocruisermusic.com to order or check your local retailer (it may take a few days for it to hit certain outlets). This is the first release by the band with our new singer, Clay Howard. "Copyshop Girl" was produced by yours truly along with Robbie Rist (who also plays bass, drums and sings backing vocals). "Hearts Are Wrong" features x-Connells drummer Peele Wimberley and the renowned Jon Heames (Let's Active, Stream, Motocaster) on bass. "Billy Budd" is a track that features no less than four drummers (Jon Heames, Brunson Hoole, Lee Thrift & some other guy) solo-ing as Stratocruiser's answer to another Herman Melville novel-named rock drum solo classic! Stay swell and keep rockin' Mike Stratocruiser -- __________________________________ http://www.sparklefest.com T-shirts, programs, CD's all on sale!
