All this idol-bashing reminds me of a conversation I had with Jim DeRogatis not long ago (how's that for name-dropping??) about how taking on the hallowed figures of rock and reevaluating them is actually a healthy thing. In fact, DeRo is editing a book, due in June, called "Kill Your Idols," where a group of young-ish writers pokes holes in some of the sacred cows of rock, including Sgt.
