I remember when I lived in San Francisco, the prostitutes, strippers, and
women in the Adult Film Industry tried to form a union. Most the "normal"
women in and around City Hall were appalled. Carol Doda, (The first "Topless
Dancer" I can recall ever hearing of, and the owner of a prodigious set of
store bought hooters), got up on the podium at one meeting and said
something to the effect of, "As you have the right to have babies, get
married, and work for some jackass taking dictation, or even own and operate
your own business, we have the right to protect ourselves and our financial
interests, and be free to pay our bills, put our kids through school, and
make a comfortable living doing something we are good at and enjoy".
Maybe the hotties in the FOW video are working their way through college, or
making sure the kids can get into a good summer camp this year.
Whatever the case may be, at least they were shaking their collective bootys
to a great tune, and as one who appreciated the humour of said video, I'm
glad they did.
