Thanks, Jason! It was amazing to see so many friendly, familiar faces in the audience last night. I have to echo Jason's sentiments that the acts were very "on" -- to be able to hear a pin drop during an artist's performance is a very rate thing indeed, especially in a rowdy college town like Boston. And this is despite the fact that I don't remember ever seeing the Lizard Lounge so packed. I was flabbergasted. This bodes really well for the future of the series, I think. At the end of the evening, the bartender leaned over to me and said "you know, it's really nice to hear some great pop music for a change." I couldn't agree more. Heartfelt thanks to all who came from near and far to help make it a success. Next month: Senor Happy (with a new cd) with Bishop Allen and School for the Dead. Hope to see you there!
