After executing an AOL-tech directed "fix" on my computer for a problem that 
resided (as I repeatedly told them) on AOL's servers, AOL 5.0 would no longer 
work on my Mac and for years I had to use AOL 4.0 to check my e-mail, and they 
could never figure out the problem (I finally did, although the web browser 
still won't work properly).

Their customer service is just awful.
