I absolutely love Electric Six. In fact, "Fire" made my top 20 for 2003. I believe they made more of a splash in England than here, despite the fact that they are from Detroit. (I think Gay Bar won a Q Magazine Award for Best Video.) I am a bit mystified as to why they did not catch on here, since the music rocks...and you can dance to it (and laugh to it as well!). As I bought my copy earlier, it did not come with the DVD containing said videos. However, I have managed to see those videos online, and yes....they are incredibly trashy and campy, particularly Gay Bar (Who would have thought to combine Abraham Lincoln with Gay culture???) I saw them perform late last year and with the exception of the drummer and the lead singer, the band had all new members. But it did not seem to affect the performance. I thought they delivered a real rockin', funny set. And the new songs they played sounded pretty darn good too.
