> The film about Rodney Bingenheimer is finally coming to a theater near > you.. I know I'll be seeing it.. check out the official website: > > http://www.firstlookmedia.com/films/mayorofthesunsetstrip/ I think this movie is one of the best documentaries of the last few years. At the least, certainly for any one w/ interest in rock 'n roll, one should find it fairly easy to agree, imho. Chris Carter(Dramarama, manager of Wondermints and Stu from the Negro Problem, who was an important part of getting this film done for many years now) was kind enough to lend me his copy of the movie last month and I found this movie was filled with a special heart and soul for its primary character, Rodeny Bingenheimer(what's refreshing is that it witholds judgement on Rodney and let's the viewer decide what to think inside its documentary frameworking)----and I was quite moved by it in parts. It had a uncomplicated grace that fit the subject matter wonderfully, lovingly and framed a complex character, truthfully(as much as the viewer could determine and judge, of course, on such matters) and...... faithfully to those who love him, I am guessing. And Zelig moments in Rodney's life are really cool and quite amusing......the guy has been AROUND! SEE IT! Bruce @ Not Lame
