Mud was definitely one of my favorite practitioners of glitter/glam music. They had lots of great songs, with "Dyna-mite" being my favorite. As dear as the Top 40 of the early '70s was to me (Jaimie particularly knows how much), I must say that I am envious of anyone my age who grew up in the UK. All those amazing glitter/glam songs on their Top 40 that they got to hear constantly on the radio! Very few of them broke into the US market; other than "Rock 'n Roll Part 2" and "Little Willie", there wasn't much else, while British kids got to hear all those hits by Mud, Slade, T. Rex (we got "Bang A Gong", but that's it), Suzi Quatro, Showaddywaddy, The Rubettes, Barry Blue, Kenny, the many other hits by Gary Glitter and The Sweet, and so much more. -- Glitter Rules!!!!! Take Care, David (who's damn glad to finally have his DSL back after being down for three days)
