Which usually seems to be the genre mentioned that sets you off. Not everyone wants to or has the time to be a musical 'renaissance man' - and trying to discover all that is good across all genres is often just a quest for cultural superiority, the Martha Stuarts of music. Sometimes it's more fun to be hardcore on one genre - for the newsgroups and the festivals and other social aspects - and it's easier on the pocketbook as well. And then there's the 'Maximum R'N'R' crowd - hate those guys. Lee
