I got my first cassette recorder (a Mayfair) for a birthday present back in 1971. Like most kids who were fascinated with audio I went crazy taping TV shows (Partridge Family and American Bandstand), radio, records (Osmonds, Stories "Louie Louie" and Jerry Reed?) and my younger brother and I singing and telling jokes. I almost tossed them during my 20's because they were recorded on such cheap tape but Im so glad I didnt - they are aural snapshots of a time long passed.
