right on!  im listening to the same thing.  and have been perpetually for the last week.  its so fantastic to get some new studio stuff from him.  good stuff.  i was kinda wondering, after that gimmicky, sterile tv eyes record he did with reitzel and roger manning.   not my bag, personnally.  but this is just *terrific*.  im glad that he chasing down his own sound again.
