Mr. Sanchez: Feel free to exclude me from my generalization if it makes you feel better. My point was to express my experiences with music fans - just as plenty of others did before me. This list seems to spawn discussions of a wide variety of musical styles even though its' purportedly a power-pop list - that's because this group of power-pop fans listen to and enjoy music beyond the focus of power-pop. They have even gone so far as to comment on the positive aspects of music that they don't like. These fans seem more educated than most music fans who seem to follow a "trend du jour" or have stopped listening to anything new when they reached 25 or 30 unless it's a new album by an artist that they already like (vast generalization, I know). If you felt that my post was meant to be self-serving, then either you read it wrong or I wrote it wrong. If the latter is true - sorry.
