If you all are talking about the SF band Petrol, I think they broke up and changed their name to The Aktion...but again maybe not. If'd be curious to know if they are back in the UK now. Petrol shows in the Bay Area were notorious for drunken, riotous rock n roll antics. The singer Graham incited many a mini-riot and ultimately got them banned from alot of clubs. They had a real "garage-y" vibe w/ a distinct 60's (Faces, Who, Kinks, etc..) kind of British Invasion flair. They were a local band called Patrol and they sung a song called Helena's Star. I've done every websearch imaginable and can't find their cd. Apparently they were picked up by WB there, but nothing. The only link is the show they were on.
