It's probably no secret to anyone who cares that the original dBs were a sort of template for my ancient combo The Windbreakers. As much as I dig the later discs, for me the first two records are pretty much perfect. But my favorite work by Stamey, either with the dBs or later remains his first solo album, "It's A Wonderful Life". I still listen to it all the time. My sometime associate and good pal Jim Huie at the Paisley Pop label has been putting together a dBs tribute disc for a while now. It promises to be very cool. Bobby Sutliff
