I kept expecting Monday Night Football's schmaltzy coverage of the
incredible Brett Favre performance to include "Last Game Of The Season" by
David (Run Joey Run) Geddes...but of course, Brett's dad wasn't blind.

Billy Bragg has a bunch of "football" songs...that really have little to
nothing to do with either form of the game: "God's Footballer", "Moving The
Goalposts", "Goal Hanger"...

How about The Dead Kennedy's "Jock-O-Rama"?

Beerbellies of all ages Come to watch the gladiators bleed 
"Now boys, this game ain't played for fun You're going out there to win
How d'ya win? Get out there And snap the other guy's knee!"
