Billy, thanks for explaining the rechannelling vs. true stereo. My question was about the saturation of reverb on every release that came out in the USA (I should have been more specfic). I also noticed on The Beatles "FIRST U.S. Visit" documentary that Murray The K's radio show was always bathed in unbelievable echo and reverb as well...making it sound like he was broadcasting from the bottom of a deep grotto. Who the hell thought THIS was a good idea....no one thought it *sounded* good, so why did they bother?
