I used it on my own solo album last year. The producer was attempting to dial in the proper key for a song I was singing, he guessed wrong and it caused the same vocal effect that's popping up on all these records, since Cher started the wacky trend....however, I decided to not use it on vocals after all and we attached it to the bass guitar part instead....very bizarre, but effective if used sparingly.
