I don't know when I'll get that top 20 list done, but I think the best pop
record I've heard this year is Cedars by Clearlake (Domino Records).  Sort
of in time with the Brit-pop biggies, but less anthemic and more subtle,
with very tasty melodic and harmonic elements of great Flying Nun bands like
the Bird Nest Roys and the 3Ds creeping in along the way.  Every song is
catchy, and the disc as a whole is varied but cohesive.  great record.
Anybody else liking this one?
