Regarding Christopher's comment: > Unless Atlantic is now considered a boutique indie now that Bronfman is > buying Warner Music. Prediction: look for Elektra and Atlantic to be merged into one label next year, with a LOT of layoffs, a major amount of consolidation, etc. The west coast offices of Atlantic are currently on the 3rd floor of the bldg. I work in; a smaller Elektra west coast staff share space with WMG on the 2nd floor (in Burbank). In New York, the Elektra offices are moving from their current location (75 Rockefeller Center) into the same bldg. that Atlantic are currently in. This is happening right after the holidays, I think. So, I wouldn't say that Atlantic's going to become a "boutique indie" but technically, Warner Music Group *will* become an independently owned company. Bryan
