This was a fast moving, but pretty interesting article about music magazines and how they are trying to hold on to an audience. http://www.gomemphis.com/mca/music/article/0,1426,MCA_505_2474866,00.html Has anyone seen that "Tracks" magazine mentioned? might be right up my alley. Also, I had been meaning to post that I recently received a subscription to Blender, and after 3 issues, I'm a convert. This magazine is funny, covers a LOT of ground, (there was a really good article with Fountains of Wayne a month or so back,) and it keeps music FUN instead of so damn serious all the time. Yes, Christina Aguilera is on the cover, but the article was interesting and not ass-kissing in any way. The Ryan Adams article is hilarious. The captions border on genius occasionally. The feature on The Darkness taking a little over $800 and trying to crash an Anna Sui fashion show with a rented donkey is pure entertainment. It's a good, fun magazine. Give it a try sometime.
