You have to remember too that I'm a big Neu, Kraftwerk, Harmonia fan, so sometimes the texture is good enough! Also have to note, I liked Wilco live, but they aren't my favorite band. Just glad to see some good music up here. By the same measure, I dug Greendale when we saw it this summer, but it's not my fave Neil Young. It was just good to see something, something different. > > > SUMMERTEETH is a big-time fave -- I think it is, by far, the strongest batch > of songs Tweedy has ever come up with. There is a song on the EP that followed the YHF, and was part of the Australian release that's both weird and rockin'. I think it's with Jay Bennett credited. Mike, also in my universe, there is no splitting hairs. It's just black and white. I collect bands I like or I think I will eventually like. It's an attempt to be a dj, and self sufficient. The problem is, I'm running out of shelf space, and the brain cells are starting to fill up. I can't remember band names, or song titles like I used to. At least with albums you could spot the spine on the shelf or the color of the cover; and sort of remember the width of the track you wanted to play. CDs don't give you any of those visual and tactile references.
