I'm in digest mode, so maybe somebody else already pointed this out. But I
did a google search, and I figured out why I'd heard "You're so cool" from
that "Toothpaste 2000" album before: it IS by Donna Esposito, but it had
been done by an earlier band she was in called The Cyclones back in 1981,
and I have that single. Maybe this was just a local NY college radio "hit."
So it was a cover after all, in a manner of speaking.
