Regarding Jim Croce...
He died when I was in 7th grade (I think). He was my fav singer at 
that time and it was probably my first experiences with loss. There 
would be a few more personal losses in my life but still I recall 
that day vividly. 
   Also, Croce's guitarist died in that crash. Urg,I don't recall his 
name. I did hear a song of his long ago called "I remember Mary" that 
was just lovely. Anyone else know of this song?  I think it was on a 
double album released after Croces death (that for the most part 
wasn't very good).

  I now tend to enjoy Croce's more solomn songs more then his more 
comical songs...
