hey everyone, I skim through Audities pretty regularly but rarely get around to writing... so I figured it would be good to answer some questions I saw floating around... > > From: Jocelyn Geboy > > > > I saw a video for a "rapper"? and I think his name > > was Pharrell Williams. Yep, here's the scoop on all that: It's not the same Billionaire Boys Club. Pharrell (also of The Neptunes and N.E.R.D.) is launching a new clothing line, which happens to have the same name as our band. We've been going through the appropriate legal channels since we were using the name prior to their trademark filing--our first show booked as BBC was last November, opening for FOW and OK Go. It looks like everything will work out fine without having to get the courts involved, since we are each pursuing different markets. For the time being, it has been bringing a ton of traffic to our web site...which is both good and bad, since some of the rap fans don't have the nicest things to say about us. But as Lizzie Grubman will tell you, there is no such thing as bad publicity, right? And as far as the band Billionaire Boys Club goes, we have our own Rock on TV event coming up. Tomorrow we're taping for Last Call with Carson Daly, the late night show on NBC that airs after Conan O'Brien. The musical guest is Super Furry Animals, while we'll be the guest house band, playing all the guest intros and commercial breaks. Should be a cool gig and some decent exposure... check it out when the show airs on Friday 10/10. later days, audities- leigh Billionaire Boys Club www.billionaireboys.com np: Spitalfield - Remember Right Now The Waking Hours - The Good Way Copperpot - s/t (2003)
