There's an XTC tribute CD now available called "King
For A Day", featuring something like 130+ covers, with
some fairly straightforward versions (like my lo-fi
remake of "Mermaid Smiled") and some liberal
interpretations of many classic (and not-so-classic)
XTC songs; Phish, of all bands, have a track on there,
as does R. Stevie Moore. If anything, it's interesting
listening for fans of the band.
