I have no idea what this band was. I got free tickets to see DDuran in Oklahoma city in 1984 from a freind who worked at KJ-103 (OKC's longtime CHR station) and they picked a local club group, "The Blades" open for them. No mention of any opening act on the radio or newspaper. The lights went down to a huge defeating scream from a packed house (The Myrad) of mostly teenage girls awaiting thier heros. The curtain opened and the announcer went "Ladies & Gentleman - please welcome OKC's The Blades" - to a huge "oooooooooooh!!! of disapointment". They played around a 35 minute set (of mostly thier own material) to little applause. DDuran were danm good though.
