Two songs from this that have RALLY grown on me, especially since the 1994 reissues, are "I Know a Girl" and (!!!!) "Listening In". Sort of a shame that they're done in two minutes. Except that that, of course, is the point. Props also to "Top Twenty," a bonus cut on the reissue. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Larry D. lrdunn@capecod.net home.capecod.net/~lrdunn/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to God. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Yaver" To: Sent: Friday, August 15, 2003 8:28 PM Subject: Re: off the top favorite pop > When this thread first started, my first reaction was the Raspberries "Go All The Way". Then I thought..hmm "Places That Are Gone" by Tommy Keene..oooohhhh..wait...what about the Pointed Sticks "Out of Luck...Teenage Head and "Frantic Romantic"...aw..the hell with it, first reactions count for more. Carmen's voice was never in better form. > > But fave album is pretty easy: The Undertones s/t. "Teenage Kicks", "Here Comes the Summer", "Get Over You"...all classic songs with Feargal Sharkey's quivering vocals, some great harmonies and plenty of masterful guitar work. It never fails to put me in a good mood. > > Steve
