I had a ?? response to John Tristao's name here..as someone with a fair 
amount of knowledge of People, I can tell you John was not with the band until 
their third album, 3 years after that "one hit". Sure enough, on CCR's site they 
do say John goes back that far, which is a lie. Then again, in the oldies band 
recycling biz, this stuff happens..
It'd be like Jim Messina taking credit for being a Buffalo Springfield member 
during their only real hit, "For What's It Worth."
