Plastic Fantastic was a great store to shop at the first couple of years it was open. Prices were cheap & you could always find promo copies of new releases. Discovered a lot of great bands that way. My biggest score there was when they bought out a djs collection of several thousand LPs and instead of pricing them out & putting them in with the regular stock they stuck them in front of the counter for $1 each. Among the stuff I got:Idle Race-Time Is, Apple-Apple A Day, Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera, 9:30 Fly, Fox,Troggs-Trogglodynamite to name a few. I have fond memories of Korvettes in King Of Prussia,PA. Discovered the first Emitt Rhodes LP when I heard it playing in their record department. They had a great back stock too.Everything from Francoise Hardy to Mad Twists Rock & Roll Lp (there in the late 60s, years after it's release). And LPs like The Stooges-Raw Power and Napolean XIV-They're Coming To Take Me Away would get prominent aisle display.
