Forgive me if I missed a few postings but I think audities lister Paul Melancon may be under a wrong impression based on David Bash listing Star Collector's excellent Flash Arrows and The Money Shot as one his faves of 2003 so far. Paul mentions a band called Star Collector that split a few years ago but I'm sure that the Star Collector that Bash is referring to is the excellent Vancouver based Power Pop band co produced by Grapes of Wrath guitarist Kevin Kane. By the way, I appear on that Vancouver bands album, singing backing vocals on two songs and actually playing a lead guitar duel with Kevin Kane on another song. Very proud. The album, regardless of my contributions, is indeed a keeper. By the way, I no longer have a band, but I do play solo albeit sporadically. But audities fans (auditeers?) might be interested to know that I have a daily talk radio show in Vancouver on an AM 730 Mojo Radio (no relation to the great UK magazine) The Paul Myers 1,2,3 show is heard between 1 and 3 pm PACIFIC TIME, thus the name 1,2,3 or one to three. On Tuesday, I've got SLOAN as one my guests and then on Wednesday Pete Yorn drops by. I've had in the past many different levels of musical guest, Star Collector among them, and Rick Nielson from Cheap Trick did two separate phone interviews with me. The show is talk radio, but I'm very music centric although be warned I go off on tangents to movies, television and pop culture in general with the odd anti-Bush comment here and there, but on the whole it's not a political show. But lurkers to this digest know that I'm a lifer of the power pop and I always sneak in the music stories.... Outside of Vancouver you can listen on the web at http://www.mojoradio.ca, many do. Keep in mind it's Monday to Friday between 1pm and 3pm Pacific time. Hope you like it.
