But on another level, given the context of this song on this album, I can't help but wonder if in a few years he might find himself sleeping drunk on a planter at the Port Authority bus terminal in a dead end job, his girl friend having recently left him. Hi Sherman, Huh, I can see that. That would give it the FOW irony. He has "all kinds of time" and clarity in that moment but ends up frozen in that moment and no longer develops as a person per life being so right in that moment (like what can happen to some High School "stars"). Oddly enough, that interpretation is kind of like the guy in "Hackensack" being "stuck", only the guy in Hackensack still longs for the girl/moment he never had. Stuck in his own longing for something he never had...Hmmmmm... I have to admit I still like to think of "all kinds of time" as being a true moment of clarity, thats bigger then football, but that might be my middle life perspective talking..... Oh, and Sherman yes, the song is just beautiful. Steve D
