It doesn't happen many times, wrong, it doesn't happen hardly at all, that I
hear contemporary music played on regional radio or TV that I can relate to.
Well, it did this morning, when I heard a fine tune by a band from my
hometown (Maastricht, Netherlands), called Something Calling by Rosenfeld.
It's a beautiful ballad, with a lot of Sixties influences going on.

I have listened to soundbites of the other songs on their recently
self-released CD and although it won't be the year's #1 CD, I thought the
music is nice enough and fits within the borders of this list, to share it
with you all. I know most of us (including myself) are not too charmed of a
female lead vocalist, but let it not deter you from giving a listen to the
