Wow, I'm actually getting chills from science songs. Why? These songs are as much a part of my childhood as any of my favorite 1972 AM radio classics. One of my elementary school teachers had at least the space and weather records. I know a whole bunch of these songs, and I haven't heard them in something like THIRTY years. But they have occasionally popped into my head, probably every 5 years or so, and I have wondered about them. Zoom a Little Zoom is my favorite one of these. And I definitely learned about rain from The Water Cycle Song. I still know the words to many of these well enough to sing them off the top of my head. The power of music . . . Thanks to Craig for the original post and Mark for the awesome link. Not only do I think I know what you're talking about but I even have a link so you can download the tracks. If this is right then there were a whole series of these each covering a different area of science. Have a look here http://www.acme.com/jef/science_songs/ and hopefully this is what you were talking about.
