A little interruption from the great threads going on here to ask what
anyone knows about the new RIAA threat that went into effect today? Mom,
whose computer station is my downloading headquarters, tells me that the
RIAA will be seeking $750/song from downloaders effective 6/26. Somehow, I
think she got the story mixed up a little, but maybe not, thinking back on
the RIAA's recent threats. Can't find info in the paper and no internet
connection here at work
