I have a live tape of the Replacements, can't remember the year, but they do a kick butt cover of Heartbeat it's a love beat. Love that song. Another idea for a thread was when did you discover that music beside what was "popular" was available out there, and you became the fan/geek you are now. Around 1978, in a suburb near Harrisburg, called New Cumberland, a guy opened a store that was trying to be like a Central Pa version of Bleeker Bob's (his description, I had no idea what he was talking about at the time). I remember walking in and just staring at the walls of all these wierd picture discs, and singles from england. At that time I was mostly a FM radio metal kind of guy, but going into that store was a life changing experience. The guy that owned that store turned me onto to SO much music...Buzzcocks, The Boys, The Damned, and I remember walking in and him playing the import of London Calling before it was released in the US, and just being totally blown away. anyway..back to lurk/read mode __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
