Actually, I'll go on the record, not to contradict David or any of the reviewers, as saying the Lilys precollection sounds more like the shoegazing side of the band circa the ep "brief history of amazing letdowns" with some of the melodic twists of their later nuggets II style stuff, but with a heavy dose of new wave thrown in for good measure. The record often reminded me of such disparate 80's acts as Talk Talk and Joy Division. I really really really like it. a lot. a real lot. buy it. its good. Frank.
