All this talk about vinyl is making me hungry!  No, I
mean all this talk about vinyl is making me want to
promote the WLUW Record Fair and Other Delights,
taking place August 2 and 3 in Chicago.  We will have
40-50 tables of vendors, some dealing in specialty
vinyl, others in a wide array of genres.  We'll also
have tables featuring work by local artists, and a
section of tables for Chicago-area record labels
(Bloodshot, Thrill Jockey, Drag City, etc.) to sell
their stuff.

We'll also have bands playing live throughout the
event, along with DJs, live band karaoke, strange and
fascinating performers from magicians to jugglers, and
anyone else we can convince to perform.  If this
sounds a bit like the WFMU record fair, that's because
they are our model.

If you are a vinyl dealer or a record label owner who
would be interested in buying a table at the record
fair, contact me off-list and I will get you all the
registration info.

If you're a collector, why not make the trek to
Chicago -- it's so lovely here in early August! 
Schedule a side-trip to Chicago on your way back from
IPO!
