Been listening - first time, treat me nice baby - to an outstanding 1980 release of gal led pop-punk from the Worcestershire, England band named the Photos. Critics (some of you here) call them Blondie influenced but I hear Martha & the Muffins, The Shirts and thousands of struggling late-70's local bands. Extremely (very!) highly recommended. Dancing (pogo minimum) required. Also recommended: the robbs - st (67) [& everything related!] ronnie von (67, 69) brazilian [louis philippe & association fans note] steve & stevie - st (68) [assocaition & billy nichols fans] orange colored sky - st (68) ["the sun & i" a sunshine pop classic!] the letters - st (78) [the real thing - uk powerpop style] the donkeys - collected singles (78...) [late 70's p-pop] jack green - humanesque (80) [more excellent by-the-book powerpop] smash palace - st (85) [quincy vocalist - 80's punchy powerpop] - michael NP: The Raydios - killer! Need more details from the critics. What the people on the Bomp list call powerpop - let's educate them folks (hahahahaha!!!). They *are* right about this being super. So are the Tweezers!
