I would try that first. I think these CD-R's are supposed to screw with the copy CD programs that Nero and Easy CD Creator use. Another thing - DONT run the program that boots up when the CD first loads up. I dont know if these install copy protection schemes or spyware or not!! Also dont use Microsoft Media player for playing your CD's - use the old CD Player or Winamp. I like to use CLONE CD for copying audio CD's. Its really made for copying games, but most of my dual mode and copy protected CD's can be copied by this program: http://www.elby.ch/en/products/clone_cd/ I am using Windows 98 SE (planning to go to evil XP soon) and my CD burner is made by a company called LITE-ON. They make CD-Rom drives for Memorex, TDK and Sony - but repackagers like Buslink, Verbatim Pacific Digital and Cendyne also repackage thier drives. But be careful they also use other manufacturers. I bought a Buslink (PS: It has "SmartBurn" on the box - the one that say "Just Link" are made by Acer) - and it only cost me $24.99 after rebate.
