> What are the fave videos of other Auditeers? > "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel. Perhaps the best example of the video artform. A classic, and it has never gotten old (for me, at least). "Feet Don't Fail Me Now" by Utopia. Todd Rundgren as a bug?... Brilliant. "Wishing" by A Flock Of Seagulls. Technically, nothing to write home about, but "time in my life"-wise, a piece of unforgettable history. "Eat It" by "Weird Al" Yankovic. Fired on every parody cylinder. "Hypnotize" by Scritti Politti. Great song, dizzying camera moves, and Green Gartside relaxing on a couch. "Raspberry Beret" by Prince. Fun, fun, fun. Love that cloud suit. "Last Stop: This Town" by The Eels. A singing carrot. 'Nuff said. "Stand Inside Your Love" by Smashing Pumpkins. The stark black-and-white motif looked like Dante's Inferno interpreted by Edward Gorey. That one shot of Billy, dwarfed by the big black clouds, is burned into my brain. "Girlfriend" by Matthew Sweet. The first I'd ever heard of the man, and it started me down the path of my current obsessive fanhood. "Intergalactic" by Beastie Boys. Yes, "Sabotage" is good, but the Power Rangers spoof was nearer to my heart. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I used to love MTV, back in the day, when it wasn't a brand.
