I couldn't possibly pick just ONE video, but if we
narrow it down to R.E.M. then I’d have to say any
R.E.M. video directed by James Herbert, which would
include ‘It’s the End of...’  His most amazing one,in
my opinion, which was probably only shown on MTV once
or twice, is for ‘Low.’  Based on three paintings and
utilizing Herbert’s re-filming technique, there’s so
many incredible images packed into a 4 minute
film/video.  I worked through the video for a class
project in college and it completely blew me away. 
Plus Jim Herbert was really accessible, although I
never spoke with him on the phone, since I was too
chicken to call him.  I only corresponded with him
through mail.
