My problem with America Dreams is that it seems to freeze-dry history into
melodrama. This being the first season of the show, we've gone from early '60s pop
to mid-'60s British Invasion, with little respect to chronology. It feels forced.
Some of the characters are just completely unsympathetic (the father for one),
while others are cartoons of those changing times.

But it gets some kids exposed to good tunes, and that's OK wit' me.
