Have you looked into Lanois' early productions? I've managed to release a 
few titles of Daniel's early production jobs (i.e. pre-Unforgettable Fire) 
that are pop oriented...not the least of which is Audities list fave Dave 
Rave.

I have some very obscure vinyl from Lanois' Grant Avenue/Hamilton days; some 
Juno Award winning productions (Parachute Club, Martha & The Muffins, Luba); 
and even farther back into his guitar performing days with Ray Materick. 
Some quality work worth investigatin'.
