Albini also produced Cheap Trick's Sub Pop single "Baby Talk" (b/w The Move's "Brontosaurus") prior to the release of the second eponymous album on Red Ant. It's ballsy. The sound quality of the vinyl single blows -- does it sound any better on the bonus discs that came with some copies of the CHEAP TRICK album? Anyway, Cheap Trick has never been a fan of the thin production on IN COLOR, so, when they got a chance, they re-recorded the album with him (god, I'd love to hear it). Since Albini probably just charged them studio time to do it, why not? Albini and Billy Corgan both provided impetus to Cheap Trick in finally getting off the major label merry-go-round and getting back in touch with their roots. Albini is just one of many of Chicago's punk rockers who found Cheap Trick's early material to be influential. Big Black did a shredding version of "He's A Whore" -- it was on a single with a cover of Kraftwerk's "The Model" and has a way cool picture sleeve, with the band parodying the album covers of the respective albums the songs came from.
