I've got this too, it was actually re-recorded (not remixed) by Albini in 
about 1999, I think.  The band apparently was so unhappy w/ the original 
production they felt it worthwhile to re-do this with Albini.

I agree, it's a much more in-your-face take on In Color, certainly makes the 
Tom Werman production sound mega-compressed and wimpy.  While I enjoy it, I 
often wondered "what was the point"...re-recording a 20 year old album for a 
project that will never see the legitimate light of day.  I guess the band 
was bored....

Haven't heard of Albini being involved in any other re-mixing projects for 
the band.
