I saw a band called Palo Alto open up for Supergrass in NYC a few weeks ago.

They were such a shameless almagamation of U2/Travis/Radiohead that I was 
actually
cringing with embarrassment (for them).

Could it have been them?

Maybe it WAS Coldplay.
