Now that's a brilliant piece of marketing "genius"
from a large chain store...create a commercial that
catches people's attention, makes them want to buy
something (even if it is the CD with the song in the
commercial, rather than all the merchandise they show
while it's playing), and NOT sell it!
Maybe if they had enough sense to realize that a great
pop song will get people to sit up and take notice to
the point where they went to the trouble of
commissioning Robert Schneider to write some songs
exculsively for use by Kohl's, they might eventually
figure out that they'd REALLY cash in if they put
those exclusive songs on an EP available exclusively
at Kohl's!
Thanks to everyone who responded to my post to let me
know who was doing these great songs!  I will
definitely have to check out some of the Apples in
Stereo CDs that actually are available for purchase on
my next trip to the CD store!
