"Have you missed me"(which my wife and I inadvertantly find ourselves singing now and then) and a couple others come to mind, begging the question: is pop/rock styled music being used more and more...even more than dancy beat stuff, for commercials?

There's one I wrote for Coke.  It's still pending whether they'll use it or not.  We'll see.
