If you're gonna listen to a song called "Kiss Your Ass Good-bye," I suggest you make it Todd Newman's song of the same name from his '96 release "Temporary Setback." This is a wonderful rootsy album that's similar in feel to the sweeter side of the Replacements with maybe a little Marshall Crenshaw thrown in(and list member Jon Harrison plays keyboards on it!). Todd was one-half of the Leatherwoods, whose "Topeka Oratorio" is a must-own record as well(Westerberg guested and did some co-writes). Todd's ep, "Too Sad For Words" is worth tracking down as well. I think they're getting pretty hard to find, so good luck if this sounds like your type of thing! Wade
